Solidiphy turns a simple photograph into something people can hold in their hands. We built the technology and the production infrastructure that let photographers, venues, and event businesses offer museum-quality 3D keepsakes — without buying equipment, learning new software, or taking on manufacturing risks.
From a single photo, our process captures every detail needed to produce a true-to-life 3D bust, ornament, or full figure. From there, we manage it all: modeling, industrial 3D printing, quality control, and direct-to-customer shipping. You focus on the moment. We turn it into a keepsake your customers will keep for a lifetime.
Solidiphy was created from day one as a business-in-a-box for the photography and events industry. Our partners — cruise lines, school photographers, wedding venues, event photographers, memorial services, reunion organizers, and pet photography studios — plug into our platform and add a high-margin, high-emotion product line to their business overnight.
There is no inventory to stock, no printers to maintain, and no fulfillment to manage. Our partner portal gives you real-time order tracking, analytics, and financial reconciliation, so you always know where every order stands. Partners typically see 50%+ gross margins, with zero equipment investment and zero manufacturing overhead.
We have earned the trust of some of the most recognizable names in entertainment, hospitality, and print personalization markets including Disney, ESPN, Planet Hollywood, and Carnival Cruise Line — proof that our process holds up at scale, under real operational demands.
Solidiphy is a wholly owned subsidiary of SoftPrint Holdings, which created ColorCentric and prInternet and owned Picaboo. We produced "one-off" published books and photo books in the millions for companies like Lulu, Blurb, Shutterfly, Amazon, B&N, Disney, Fuji Film, and Vistaprint, to name a few. Our automated print workflow prInternet™ is still in use at Office Depot after 10 years. We know mass-customization print workflow automation.
Solidiphy was founded by John Lacagnina, a Rochester Institute of Technology–trained electrical engineer and serial entrepreneur with over three decades of experience building technology and imaging companies. John previously co-founded Electronic Demand Publishing, later acquired by Kinko's, and founded ColorCentric Corp., a pioneer in mass-customization print-workflow software, along with its SaaS spinoff prInternet™. He holds multiple patents in color imaging, digital measurement, and laser measurement systems.
That background — deep expertise in imaging technology paired with a track record of building scalable, partner-friendly platforms — is what shaped Solidiphy. He saw an opportunity to bring the same rigor to 3D photography that earlier generations brought to digital printing: real technology, real infrastructure, and a business model that lets our partners grow without the operational burden.
We believe every meaningful moment — a wedding, a graduation, a reunion, a memorial — deserves more than a flat photograph. Our mission is to give photographers and venues an effortless way to turn those moments into touchable, lasting memories, while giving families and guests something they will treasure for years to come.
